Your brightest star
Has slipped out of sight
You've slipped into a darker night.
When you can't see out
Look inward past that dark hole
Find those internal stars that light your soul.
The first rays of the morning sun aren't far
Walk the dog along the shore
Revel in what you've had and have
And when the night returns
Look bravely at all the stars left to explore.

Thanks for this, Steve. Very perceptive and it has stars. What's not to like? Obliged. PB
Good use of rhyme here. And I love any well written poem about stars :)
