The Wind Chooses

The wind chooses
the notes to play
and I find myself
dreaming

home to you through
playful prayer flags
offering our deepest
longings to the breeze,

up impossible paths
like Escher puzzles,
dizzy with incense
I touch

the illusory prayer
wheels, becoming
the notes, an echoing
prayer to the universe–

I am floating on the air
of unrealized love
in dreams
the wind chooses.

Only the 3 & 4th lines in the first stanza bother me. They don't seem to fit very well. It's not that they're totally out of place, but they do seem a little flat compared to the airiness of the rest.
