Confession
"Fat is funny,"
Or so people say,
When they stare and laugh at me,
Encircling their prey.
I know my legs aren’t skinny
But I am puzzled and confused
Why do people mock me?
Why are they amused?
I know I weigh a ton,
From eating all those vegetables
And lying in the sun,
But no matter what I do,
Nothing ever works,
As people come to gawk at me,
And look at all my quirks.
So now in my depression,
I start to eat more leaves,
And make my confession:
This elephant grieves.
